Virginia May Lenz

Virginia May Lenz, 84, of Mission, Texas, formerly of Bellevue, Illinois passed away at 3:55 am Thursday, June 15, 2023 at The Bridges of Mission Alzheimer’s Care Unit.
Born September 20, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois. She was the daughter of Marie and Owen Dunn. She married John Lenz in March 1960. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are Cynthia (Charles) Eddy of Mission, Texas, John (Kelly) Lenz of Bartonville, Illinois and Sheila Schafer of Virginia Beach, Virginia, 7 grandkids and 4 great-grandkids. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
She loved quilting (made over 200 quilts for St Jude), Bingo, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Cubs and snowmen. She was a member of The First Global Methodist Church of Mission, Texas. She was also a Red Hatter.
Services will be at Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur, Illinois June 26, 2023. Accepting family and friends at 10 am with Memorial Service at 11 am. Burial will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton, Illinois. Cremation has incurred.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either Alzheimer’s Association or St Jude.
