Velma Gonzalez Underwood

Velma Gonzalez Underwood, 63, went to be with our Lord and Savior the morning of November 20th, 2025. Velma was born on February 7th, 1962, in McAllen, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dario and Elfida Gonzalez, her brother, Juan Rene Gonzalez, and her nephew, Mario Carlos Guerra. She is survived by her husband, Harold Underwood, her daughter, Charlotte Underwood, her siblings, Homer (Lisa) Gonzalez, Melba (Jorge) Fuentes, Hilda (Mario) Guerra, Nelda Gonzalez, Robert (Sandra) Gonzalez, and her nieces and nephews, Mallory, Whitney, Christie, Jorge Alexis, Gabriel, Brianna, Jorge Alberto, Andrew, Kayla, and Leah.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4th at 4 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral home, located at 701 E Interstate Hwy 2 in Mission. Mass will be held on Friday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission.
