Tressellen Hamilton

Mission-Tressellen Hamilton, 85, loving wife and mother, peacefully passed away at home early morning on October 20, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents Wesley Best and Claudia F. Jones and one son, Darek Hamilton. Tress, as she was affectionately known, was born on June 2, 1939, in Edinburg, Texas. She grew up in Mission and graduated one year early from Mission High School in 1957. She continued her education graduating from McAllen Business College. Tress loved to spend her time with her family, animals, cooking and gardening. At Christmas and special occasions, Tress would deliver several platters around the community and to her friends filled with her famous cookies, candies and fudge. She never missed a birthday or a chance to celebrate with her family. Holidays were her favorite. She could cook for 4 or 20 and would have her yellow legal pad with all the dishes to be served. If there was a request for one of her special recipes, she would hand write each step down on her yellow pad with added comments. Her backyard was a sanctuary full of lush gardens, flowers, fountains and birds. The garden and pool area were a retreat for prayer time and calmness. Tress was a loving and devoted wife, mother, friend and prayer warrior. She was devoted to her faith and lived by it every day. We know that Tress is above in heaven looking upon us with her beautiful smile. We are blessed and grateful to have had such a strong, wonderful, loving wife and mother. This is not goodbye, but until we meet again in heaven.
Tress is survived by her loving husband Carl Hamilton of 51 years and a daughter Keri (Ren) Gonzalez. The family would like to show their appreciation and thank you to CNAs Mary Arenas and Patty Arenas, along with Corina Castro and Caty Espinosa. You are angels on this earth.
