Rosa Susana Bustamante, lovingly known as Susie, passed away on May 25, 2023, at the age of 57. Born on May 9, 1966, in McAllen, Texas, Rosa was a compassionate, supportive, and reliable woman who devoted her life to her family and her work. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Where there is love, there is life," and Rosa's love for her family knew no bounds.\n\nRosa Susana Bustamante spent most of her life in McAllen, Texas, where she worked for Compassionate EMS LLC in Edinburg until her retirement in 2021. Known for her unwavering commitment to her marriage and family, Rosa was a God-fearing, hardworking, and independent woman. Her dedication to her loved ones was evident in every aspect of her life, and she was always there for those who needed her. In the words of Maya Angelou, "A woman's heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him just to find her," and Rosa's heart was indeed hidden in God.\n\nRosa Susana Bustamante is survived by her loving husband, Juan Bustamante; her mother, Lois Galvan; her siblings Rollie, Joe Don Masker, Mike Masker (Galvan) and Emmy Conley; her children, Jessica Bustamante (Alejandro), Juan (Ashley) Bustamante Jr., and Jennifer Bustamante (Randy); her grandchildren Adelynn, Jordan, Jaiden, Jenevieve, Juan Jose, Juan Pedro, Joseph, Jacob, Joshua, Jose Luis Bustamante and Isabella Quintanilla; and her daughter-in-law, Ashley (Juan) Bustamante. She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Luis Galvan; her mother-in-law, Guadalupe Castillo; her father-in-law, Concepcion Bustamante Sr, and her nephew, Juan Elias III.\n\nVisitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 4:00 pm CDT at Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission, Texas. A rosary will follow at 7:00 pm CDT at the same location.
