It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Wise on July 10, 2023. Robert was born in Laredo, Texas, on August 17, 1967, and spent most of his life in Mission, Texas. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leopoldo and Rosa Wise. Robert was a devoted family man, a successful entrepreneur, and a pillar of the community. He was the proud owner of Wise CDL, where he combined his love for teaching with his passion for the open road. His warm, engaging personality made him a beloved figure among his students, colleagues and friends. His commitment to his work was surpassed only by his dedication to his family.\n\nHis memory will forever be cherished by his wife Josie Sanchez-Wise and children Dylan Wise, Erica Cantu (Diego Cantu), Ruben Sanchez (Iris Sanchez), and Devin and Carmen Wise. He leaves behind his wife, five children, eleven grandchildren: Hailey, Araceli and Dominic Sanchez, Malana Rollins, and Evan, Ethan, Dee-Andra, Lizbeth, Diego, Landen and Fenix Cantu, along with brothers, sisters, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and his spirit of adventure and love for life were infectious.\n\nHe spent over twenty-three years of long haul/over the road trucking before spending the last nine years as a CDL Class-A Instructor. When he wasn't working or spending time with family he was a mentor with the Boy Scouts of America Troop and a Free Mason. Robert found fulfillment giving back to his community he loved.\n\nA public viewing will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 5:00pm-9:00p.m.CDT at Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 10:00amCDT at Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission in Mission.\n\nMaya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Robert made everyone around him feel loved, valued, and special. His warmth, generosity, and zest for life will forever be remembered.\n\nWe invite all who knew Robert to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page.
