It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ramiro H. Barrera, as he entered eternal rest on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Solara Hospital in McAllen,Texas. Ramiro was a God-fearing man that cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ramiro loved his beautiful community of Mission, TX. He was a Pharmacy graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and practiced pharmacy in his community for 50 Years. Ramiro was a co-owner of Richard’s Pharmacy which has served his beloved community for over 25 years. \n Ramiro was born in Mission,TX on May 3, 1949 to the late Eva Garza Barrera and Leonel Barrera. He is is also preceded in death by his three brothers Leonel Barrera, Jr., Jaime Xavier Barrera and Rolando F. Barrera \n He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Beatriz V. Barrera; a son Jaime X. (Selena) Barrera; a daughter Alejandra L. Barrera; six grandchildren Daniela Martinez, Leonel Barrera, Chloe Covey, Pepe Barrera, Michael Sanchez and Emma Barrera; and a sister in law Gregoria Villarreal; a host of relatives and friends. \n Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mission with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Valley Memorial Gardens.
