It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rafael Sanchez III on November 23, 2023. Born in Edinburg, Texas on August 27, 1975, Rafael was a vibrant and loving spirit whose laughter was infectious and whose love for his family was limitless. Throughout his life, Rafael was known for his charming sense of humor, often brightening the room with his quick wit and funny anecdotes. His love for Lucha Libre wrestling was well-known, making him the life of the party during matches and bringing joy to all around him.\n\nRafael made his home in Alamo, Texas with his beloved wife, Aida Sanchez. Together, they built a beautiful family that included their son, Gerardo (Marife) Sanchez, and daughter, Samantha Sanchez. He also had the joy of being a grandfather to Xiomara Sanchez. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Rafael showered his family with unconditional love and was always their unwavering pillar of support. Rafael's mother, Isaac Padilla, also survives him. He was preceded in death by his father, Rafael Jr., and his brother, Victor Sanchez.\n\nFriends and family are invited to attend a public visitation for Rafael on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 4:00 PM CST at the Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission, Texas. A rosary will be held later that evening at 7:00 PM CST at the same location. Rafael will be laid to rest on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 12:00 PM CST at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas. \n\nRafael's legacy will live on, not just in the hearts of his family, but also in the many lives he touched with his loving and funny personality.
