Monica De Lourdes Hinojosa

April 26, 1974 – October 9, 2026

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Monica De Lourdes Hinojosa, who passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 52.

Born on April 26, 1974, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Monica made her home in McAllen, Texas, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Monica was a beautiful soul with a heart of gold. She was hardworking, kindhearted, outgoing, and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and a special gift for finding the positive side of life. No matter the circumstances, she always found a reason to smile, make a joke, or bring happiness to those around her.

Above all, Monica was an extraordinary mother. To her child, she was so much more than a mom. She was a best friend, a rock, a safe place, and the greatest source of unconditional love. She was the person who would listen without judgment, offer comfort without hesitation, and stand beside her child through every joy, challenge, and difficult moment. With her, there was never a need to pretend to be anything other than oneself. Her love was constant, genuine, and without conditions.

She was the person you could call about anything, the shoulder you could always lean on, and the voice that could make even the hardest days feel a little easier. She celebrated every accomplishment, offered strength during life’s struggles, and made sure her loved ones never felt alone.

The bond she shared with her child was one of the most beautiful gifts she leaves behind. Although her physical presence will be deeply missed, the love, lessons, laughter, and memories she gave will remain forever.

Monica is survived by her loving husband, Jose Ramon Briones Lopez; her son, Emiliano Diaz; and her beloved mother, Martha Margarita Hinojosa. She was preceded in death by her father, Emilio Hinojosa.

Monica will forever be remembered for her beautiful heart, her joyful spirit, her endless generosity, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.

Mom, you were my best friend, my rock, and my home. You were the one person I knew I could always turn to, no matter what. You listened to me, understood me, never judged me, and loved me exactly as I was. I will spend the rest of my life missing your voice, your laughter, your advice, and the comfort of knowing you were always there. No amount of time will ever be enough with you, and no words could ever explain how much you mean to me. Thank you for being my mom, my greatest blessing, and my forever best friend. I will carry your love with me for the rest of my life. I love you so much mama.
