My beloved wife, Linda Susan Misercola, was born on August 18, 1948, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to her loving parents, Eva Marie Bruni and Stephen Walter Opielowski. She spent her early childhood in Springfield and Ludlow before moving to California, where she grew up and spent forty-one wonderful years. In 2003, we began a new chapter together when she moved to the Rio Grande Valley.
Linda was an incredibly dedicated and hardworking woman. Before she took an early retirement on September 1, 2003, she devoted 28 years of her life working as a draftsperson at Garrett AiResearch, now known as Honeywell International. I will always cherish her vibrant spirit and her deep love for nature, animals, gardening, and baking cakes. She was so talented and driven in everything she did, proudly holding licenses in cosmetology and real estate, and she even had her motorcycle license.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy and a family who will miss her every single day. She is survived by me, her devoted husband, Ralph Misercola, and her three wonderful children: Michelle Ebert and Georgianna Montalvo of Mission, TX, and Stephen Mataalii of Carson, CA. Her love continues to live on through our grandchildren, our sweet great-grandchildren, her two sisters, Lisa Lemelin of Mission, TX, and Tina Kotch of Torrance, CA, and her brother, Gregory Lemelin of Carson, CA. She brought so much light into all our lives, and she will be forever in our hearts.
