With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Leonel Rodriguez Jr., who departed this life on June 3, 2026, at the age of 56.

Leonel was born on December 9, 1969, in Orlando, Florida, to Leonel Rodriguez Sr. and Serafina Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his beloved younger sister, Esmeralda, and his three cherished fur babies, Brandie, Indy, and Cody, who always held a special place in his heart.

Leonel is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Mary Lou Escamilla-Rodriguez, who was the light of his life and his greatest source of pride and joy. He is also survived by his parents, Serafina and Leonel Rodriguez Sr.; his brother, Jose Rodriguez (Dulce); and many beloved family members, friends, and coworkers who will forever cherish his memory.

Leonel was a friendly, hardworking, and intelligent man whose kindness and presence touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was known for his legendary BBQs, his long hair, his impressive sound system, and his love of music, science-fiction movies, and comic books. He also had a passion for trucks, motorcycles, and sports cars.

Of all the roles he held throughout his life, being a husband was the one he treasured most. He shared a deep and devoted love with Mary Lou, and their bond was a source of great happiness in his life. He also shared an unbreakable connection with his mother, Serafina, whose love and support remained a constant throughout his years.

Leonel's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
