Palmview - Jose Saldana Jr, age 65, passed away on September 30, 2026 at his home. He was born on July 30, 1961 in Houston, Tx to Jose Saldana Sr. and Fermina "Mina" Hernandez Saldana.
Jose, lovingly known as Joey to those most dear to him, worked as a bus driver for Mission CISD. He enjoyed being the silly chauffeur and confidant to those children and spoke about it for years. Truck driving was a part of his occupation as well but spent the majority of his life being his aunt and uncles helper. Joe loved his family and had a very big heart with an abundance of love to give.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Fermina "Mina" Hernandez Saldana. He is survived by his daughters, Bianca (Luis) Mireles, Elisa Saldana (Marissa Gonzalez), and Kassandra (Candido) Lezama; his father Jose Saldana Sr.; his brothers, David (Melba) Saldana, Daniel (Azzy) Saldana, and Javier (Janie) Saldana; his sister, Rosa Saldana; his grandchildren, Julianna, Briella, Candido Jr., Bibiana, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held at Brown Family Funeral Home off the expressway at 4pm-9pm with a Talk at 7pm.
