On June 15, 2022, Hermelindo Sanchez, 80, entered eternal rest peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 12, 1941, and he lived his entire life in Mission, Texas. \n Since he was 17 years old, he dedicated his life as a professional construction painter. He later retired and he owned and managed his parents convenient store, Mission Food Store. He was a father full of love, smiles, stories and laughter. He will always be in our hearts and minds for the rest of our lives. Hermelindo was married to his loving wife, for 57 years, Magdalena Sanchez. Together, they raised their children. He is survived by his son Gilbert (Patricia) Sanchez; daughters Grace (Manuel) Garcia and Gilda (Jorge) Cruz. He loved his 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, Marco (Claudia Cuevas) Garza, Samuel Sanchez, Mia Sanchez, Sophia Cruz, Allison Cruz, Luna Garza and Zoey Garza. \n Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 at El Mesias United Methodist Church with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at El Mesias United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, TX. \n The family would like to thank Jose and Juvelia Juarez, Silvia Salinas R.N. and La Mision Palliative Care and Hospice for their dedication of care.
