Hedwig Kotara Obituary (1931 - 2023)

Hedwig "Hattie" Prukop Kotara, 91, passed away peacefully at home on August 11, 2023. Hattie was born on October 12, 1931 to the late Frank and Gertrude Prukop in McCook, TX. She grew up on her parent's farm in McCook. She married her beloved husband Prosper Kotara on November 27, 1951. She enjoyed life on the farm working beside Prosper until his passing. Hattie is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Propser and her siblings Frank Prukop, Sophie Foley Matthew, Conrad Prukop and Phillip Prukop. Hattie is survived by her brother Emil Prukop and a sister Irene Prukop Lyssy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church in McCook, TX with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church with burial to follow at Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Cemetery in McCook, TX.
