MISSION – On Saturday, March 13, 2021 Gloria Sandoval, surrounded by her family, went home to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 60. Gloria was born March 21, 1960 to Zelmo and Gloria Hinojosa in Mission, Texas. Gloria married the love of her life, David Sandoval June 12, 1998. Together they had a son, Nicholas Sandoval. Gloria was blessed with 3 siblings Imelda Hinojosa, Irma Trevino, Henry (Kathy) Hinojosa, Aunt Elida Hinojosa and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. \n \n She was preceded in death by her parents, Zelmo and Gloria Hinojosa. \n \n Gloria was a graduate of Mission High School and the University of Texas Pan Am with a teaching degree. Gloria loved teaching music at Mission CISD-Pearson Elementary School, she loved her music students and the staff at her school. Gloria loved God and was a person of strong faith. Also, she loved life and laughter. She always enjoyed spending time with her husband, son, family and her beloved dogs. She looked forward to the school music conferences and musical performances. Her family would like to thank Melissa Davis and the staff at Pearson Elementary for all the kindness they showed during Gloria’s battle with cancer. Also, the staff at Elara Hospice for the wonderful care Gloria was given in her last days. \n \n We wish to express our most sincere gratitude for the phone calls, food and flowers. These expressions of love, care, and concern will always be cherished. We are especially grateful for your prayers.
