Mission, Texas
In loving memory of our mother and wife, Esmeralda Peralez, who passed away on August 17, 2024 at the young age of 63 after a brief and challenging battle with cancer. She was the devoted wife of Jose F Peralez Jr, loving mother of Jose F Peralez III & Bianca D Peralez, and caring grandmother of Mario Reyna III. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Esmer or "Lala", as she was affectionately known as to many, was born in Edinburg, TX on October 1, 1960, to Eduardo & Inocencia “Tencha” Seledon. She attended Edinburg High School, graduated in 1979 as a proud Bobcat! She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Armando Celedon. She is survived by her husband, children and her siblings Rafael Celedon, Rodolfo Celedon, Ruben Celedon, Ricardo Celedon, and Nora Villarreal.
Esmer was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong, hard-working woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. She was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched including family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers who all cared and loved her. She was an adventurous cook; avid collector of perfumes, purses, shoes, jewelry, and teapots; and loved to listen and dance to Tejano music.
Growing up, Esmer was always there for us, cheering for her children in the Sharyland Rattler Band at band competitions, and Friday night football games. She continued to do so even after her children graduated, being a very proud Rattler and would often be seen cheering on whoever was playing against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday nights. She was a woman of strong faith, and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing what is right. Our mother was a true role model who we will always look up to.
The family will be available to receive condolences from all who knew Esmer at Ric Brown Funeral Home 701 E Expressway 83 Mission, TX 78572 on Friday, August 23 from 4:00 PM followed by a rosary at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 620 N Dunlap Ave Mission, TX 78572 on Saturday, August 24 at 10:00 AM.
Esmer, you will forever be in our hearts, and we will never forget you. You live on through the lives and hearts that you have touched. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
