With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Epifanio Vasquez Ramirez on December 29, 2023. He was a beacon of strength, kindness and wisdom, whose presence impacted the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will forever echo in our hearts. \n\nEpifanio Vasquez Ramirez, son of Dolores and Prudencio Vasquez, was born in Candela, Coahuila on December 1, 1947. He immigrated to the US with his family and worked hard his whole life. From migrant farm worker to maintenance to purchasing agent for an international chemical company, he was truly dedicated to his work. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968 during the Vietnam War and lived with discipline, honor and integrity for the rest of his life.\n \nHe is preceeded in death by his parents Dolores Ramirez Vasquez and Prudencio Vasquez; and two brothers Cristobal Vasquez and Jose Prudencio Vasquez.\n\nLeft to honor his memory is his beloved wife, Minerva Vasquez, his children, Jorge Alberto (Jesica) Vasquez, Leticia (Valentin) Sanchez, and Edgar (Elzbeth) Vasquez. His grandchildren, Alessandra, Aaliyah, Jorge Eliudd, Alberto, Zoeey, and Christian, will always remember all the love they received from their Tito. He will also be missed by his surviving siblings, Lucinda Guerra, Isabel Rodriguez, Juanita Enriquez and Rogelio Vasquez as well as all his nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Services will be conducted at Brown Family Funeral Home on Thursday, January 4 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, January 5, at 1:00 pm at Brown Family Funeral Home, and burial will be at the RGV State Veterans Cemetary at 2:00 pm.
