Edelmiro A. Casarez, age 79, of McAllen, Texas, passed away on December 22, 2024, at McAllen Heart Hospital. He was born on September 12, 1945, in McAllen to Manuela Parra (†).

Edelmiro, was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Martina Casarez. They raised three daughters: Lydia Palacios, Cynthia L. Arevalo, and Emily Llarza. He was a proud grandfather to Erica Nicole (†), Larissa L, Joanna, Amanda, Christian, Clarisol Marie (†), Ulysses, Angel Lee (†), and D’Angelo. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Alexander, Caleb, Caden, and Evangeline.

Edelmiro was known throughout his life for his strong family values and unwavering love for those closest to him. He brought warmth, kindness, and joy to all who knew him.

Edelmiro’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at McAllen Heart Hospital for their compassionate care during his final days.
