Dominik Alvarado Obituary (2002 - 2024)

In loving memory of Dominik D’Angelo Alvarado. Dominik was our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend who was taken from us too son on Wednesday, May 8th, 2024. He is survived by his parents Jessica and Jorge and his siblings. Dominik was born on Friday, June 7, 2002. His name was inspired by Dominic Toretto from the Fast and Furious movies. His passion for cars, motorcycles, and adrenaline was predestined. Dominik loved to ride his bicycle from a very young age along with skateboards, then upgrading to his Mustang and later motorcycle that he loved so much. His middle name D’Angelo meaning “sent from Heaven” was true to his life purpose. Dominik was a beautiful soul sent to this earth to brighten the lives of those who got the privilege to witness his loving spirit. As a young boy, Dominik enjoyed playing baseball with the Donna Little League then continued to play in Hidalgo until the age of 12. He then shifted his interest from sports to music when he joined the Valley View Mighty Tiger Band where he was in percussion from junior high to high school, mastering multiple instruments and building beautiful, life-long friendships with his fellow drumline. Dominik also joined the wrestling team during his senior year of high school. At the age of 10, Dominik became a big brother. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his little brother Raphael, helping to prep the nursery to finally changing diapers. He loved to play with his little brother and was happy to have his little partner in crime by his side. Dominik built meaningful years-long friendships that followed him into adulthood. His drumline members turned into his brothers, especially his best friend Eric. They were two peas in a pod, always together. It was also in the percussion band where Dominik met his girlfriend, Chely. They stole each other's hearts and grew together in love and friendship, going through the journey of falling in love something not many people have the privilege to experience. There are many things that made Dominik very happy – his car, his motorcycle, very strong coffee, and video games. He could stay up for hours playing Halo, Helldivers, For Honor, Minecraft, and GTA; laughing and screaming into his headset with his friends. Dominik had many interesting hobbies. He could do anything he put his mind to even baking yummy recipes for French class. Dominik was a hard worker – especially when it came to cars. While most of his skills were self-taught, his passion for cars grew when he worked as a mechanic after high school. Through his work, he gained so much experience and insight. His love for adrenaline and mechanics branched out to his big love for motorcycle riding. He was able to meet new people and said he “found himself” through his solo rides. His parents loved and treasured him, teaching him discipline, a good work ethic, and the importance of family. Through every circumstance, Dominik was very loving and empathetic to his family. His ability to comfort others was like no other. His parents are filled with tremendous pride for his successes because he could truly accomplish anything he put his mind to. Dominik was a person you only get to meet once in a lifetime. The one that teaches you to not take yourself too seriously. He was the epitome of, “dance like no one is watching,” always dancing to good music or a little dance move just because. His silliness, his smile, his laugh, and the way he could brighten up any situation was a gift to all around him. Dominik will be dearly missed. His passing has left a void in many people's lives. May we honor his legacy, celebrate his life, and continue to remember him with love in our hearts. Ending poem options: When I am gone, release me, let me go.
