Criselda V. Rivera, 88, passed away on January 24, 2024. She was known for her quick wit, her smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She was a woman of principle and courage. She is preceded in death by her spouse Epifanio Rivera, her parents Alonzo and Bartola Villarreal and siblings. Criselda, the most loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother is survived by her children; Oscar (Tina) Garza, Veronica (Johnny) Arellano, Elizabeth (Victor) Garza, Juanita (Miguel) Ibarra, Norma Linda Villarreal, Diana (Cesar) Flores, Martin David (Anna) Rivera, Ann Marie Rivera; 17 grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. She was well known for her unconditional love, strength, and generosity that extended beyond her immediate family. Her dedication to her spiritual values and zest for life was vibrant and well-lived. She had immense passion for her family and spirituality. Her departure comes with a deep wound and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply in her wide network of community. Criselda was a beautiful person inside and out. Her persona was so stunning, it would light up the whole room. She cared deeply for the people around her. She was so kind and passionate. She made an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed. Our Queen was a living legend.
