It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Christopher Anthony Ramirez, a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, and brother, on December 17, 2023. Born on May 13, 1974, in Mission, Texas, Christopher lived a life full of joy, creativity, and unwavering love for his family. \n\nChristopher Anthony was a talented digital news editor at ABC 13 in Houston, Texas, where he resided. His dedication to his craft was rivalled only by his passion for films. An avid film connoisseur, he spent his free time watching and making short films, collecting movie memorabilia, and even managing movie theaters. His infectious enthusiasm for the cinematic world was contagious, and he was always ready with a film recommendation or an interesting piece of movie trivia. His love for films was best captured in the words of Martin Scorsese, "Cinema is a matter of what's in the frame and what's out." For Christopher, his life was the movie, and he was both the director and the star, creating a masterpiece that those who knew him were privileged to be a part of.\n\nHowever, the true heart of Christopher’s life was his family. He was a loving husband to his wife, Margie, and a doting father to his son, Liam and stepson Noah. He was a loyal son to his parents, Raul and Ruby Ramirez, and a protective brother to Daniel and Tania. His loyalty and love for his family were the cornerstones of his life, and he made sure that they knew it. To quote Leo Buscaglia, "Love is life. And if you miss love, you miss life." Christopher Anthony did not miss out on love, nor did he let life pass him by. He lived every moment to the fullest, always with a laugh and a smile, always with love.\n\nChristopher is survived by his mother, Ruby (Raul) Ramirez, sister Tania, and brother Daniel (Irma). He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Higinia (Leopoldo - deceased) Ramirez, Isabel (Jesus) Ramos, and grandfather, Ismael Duran. \n\nThe receiving of friends will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 12:00pm CST at the Ric Brown Family Funeral Home, located at 621 East Griffin Parkway, Mission, Texas, 78572.\n\nIn memory of Christopher Anthony, we encourage you to leave memories, stories, and upload photos to the memorial page. Let us celebrate his life, his passions, and the love he shared with all of us. His story is not just in the films he loved, but in the lives he touched and the love he shared.
