Brenda Gonzalez, 47, of Mission, TX, passed away on August 21, 2026.
Brenda Gonzalez was born on September 26, 1978, in McAllen, TX to Maria del Socorro Gonzalez and Francisco Javier Gonzalez.
She is survived by her mother, Maria del Socorro Gonzalez, sister, Elizabeth Marroquin, brother Joe Gonzalez (Nancy Gonzalez), sister Yadira Vela (Ricardo Vela), and brother Francisco Javier Gonzalez Jr. (Maria Asencion Gonzalez) and nine nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Brenda Gonzalez will be remembered for her selflessness, immense kindness, infectious laughter, and her amazing baking and cooking skill. She showed her love for others by the things she made for them, whether it was the birthday cakes, to the special dinners, to taking the time to work side-by-side on trying to make a new dessert or even having batches of her famous Christmas cookies on the kitchen table. She was always ready and excited to spend time with those she loved. Whether it was a new movie, a good show, or watching the Green Bay Packers, Brenda was always happy to be there for others. To those who knew her well, she was an absolute sweetheart whose kindness reached all of those around her to keep them warm in her love.
A funeral service will be held on August 27, 2026, at Brown Family Funeral Home, 701 East Interstate Highway 2, Mission, TX 78572 from 4pm to 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm.
