MCALLEN-Baudelia G. Vasquez went to be home with the Lord on January 28th, 2021. She was born in Mission, Tx to Marcelino and Olivia Guerra. She was an alumni of Mission High School and was a hardworking migrant worker. She continued her education to an associates degree at Pan American University and eventually became an interpreter for Caterpillar in the state of Illinois. Upon retirement, she continued to serve others as a social worker for 30 years for DHS. She was a faithful, diligent and hard worker and her positive attitude and duty to others will be missed in her family and community. \n Baudelia is survived by her son Jose Vasquez III (Kimberly) and their children Shania, Laura and Jose IV "Joey" along with her sisters Aurora, Elvira and Delfina, brothers Marcelino and Abelardo. \n Private services will be held virtually on Tuesday, February 8, from 12-2PM with a Rosary following after. A drive-by blessing will occur Wednesday, February 9, at 12:30PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe followed by burial at Valley Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home.
