Amalia was born on October 29th, 1950, in Garciasville (La Casita), Texas. Amalia always had a nurturing spirit and after graduating high school, went on to pursue a career in nursing where she dedicated 43 years before her retirement in 2014.
She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Together, with the love of her life, Jose Luis Sr., they created a loving home and raised five children. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman of faith who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity and always instilled the importance of family and hard work. On her spare time, Amalia loved to scrapbook, travel to Las Vegas and Kickapoo, and spend quality time with her family.
