It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Adrian S. Aleman on October 19, 2023. Born in McAllen, Texas on July 9, 1952, Adrian spent his life dedicated to the things he held dearest: his family, his faith, and his community.
Adrian was a humble man, known for his loyalty and courageous spirit. He retired from a dedicated career as a security guard for La Joya ISD, where he was admired and respected by all who had the privilege to work with him. In his free time, he enjoyed the tranquility of gardening, the joy of rescuing animals, the camaraderie of barbecuing, and the simple pleasure of being outdoors. His commitment to his Catholic faith was unwavering, and he was a parent volunteer for St. John of the Fields Catholic Church. Above all, Adrian was a family man. He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
Adrian is survived by his loving wife Maria, his children Veronica Aleman, Monica Kicklighter, and Adrian Jr. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Aleman and Librada Santos, and his siblings Irma Banda, Juan Aleman, Diana Campos, Dora Munoz, and Elvira Aleman. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." - Matthew 5:4. Adrian's legacy of love and dedication will comfort his family and all who knew him in this time of mourning.
