MISSION – Raymundo E. Trdla, 94, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2015 at Paxvilla Hospice in McAllen. He was a World War II Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy attached to the U.S. Marine Corps as a corpsman during the Pacific Theater. Raymundo was Chief Maintenance Director at McAllen Medical Center for 35 years. He is remembered for being an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carmela; his parents, Joseph and Antonia Trdla and his sister Lita Haider. He is survived by his children, Mary Margaret Trdla (David) Jaks, Ray E. (Yolanda) Trdla Jr., Genevieve Trdla; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Lillie Mae Guerra; brother, Retired U.S. Army Col. Joseph “Bobby” R. Trdla.
Viewing will be from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m.rosary tomorrow, January 3, 2016 at Rivera Funeral Home in Mission. Funeral mass will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
