MISSION – Ramon Lozano Sr., 88, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday May 9th, in Mission. He was born in Mission on December 23, 1928 to Arturo Lozano & Felicitas Zamora Lozano.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Jesusita Lozano, his parents, his brothers
Ramiro Lozano and Jesus Lozano, sisters Gloria Arrezola, Guadalupe Espitia, and Blanca Gonzalez.
He is survived by his children, Sylvia (Gustavo) Rodriguez, Ramon Lozano Jr, Eduardo (Melba)
Lozano, and Jorge (Joanne) Lozano, 12 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Mr. Lozano served honorably in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He was employed with Edinburg & Mission school districts as a school bus driver. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and brother with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
His family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Gentiva Hospice team for their compassionate care. Viewing will be on Thursday from 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM with a 7 PM rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Holy mass will be held on Friday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Cremation will follow and his remains will be laid to rest at the Rio Grande Valley State Veteran’s Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home.
