Obituary – Pedro Barrera Jr.

MISSION – Pedro Barrera born April 22, 1948 in Mission Tx, passed away on August 15, 2018 due to health related complications.
Mr Barrera served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He received the Vietnam Service Medal W/4 Bronze Service Stars; National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Combat Infantryman Badge Sharpshooter (rifle). He is survived by his wife Josie L. Barrera of 47 years, brothers Ray (Linda) Barrera, Juan (Yolanda) Barrera, sisters: Carmen (Saul) Ruiz, Angelita (Bobby) Chandler, Petra B. Zamora.
He is preceded in death by his son Adrian, parents: Pedro and Tomasa Barrera, Brother Frank Barrera. Funeral services will be held at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home on August 19, 2018 from 1-9 p.m. Christian service begins at 7-9 p.m. on August 20, 2018 Chapel services will be at 2:00 p.m. followed by procession to Valley Memorial Gardens of Mission.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Pete, Gene, and Pablo Flores, Omar Villarreal best friend, Jose H. Gonzalez Jr. friend, and Jose H. Gonzalez III, friend. Pedro was a successful life insurance broker for many years. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family. On August 15, 2018 we lost a brother, a friend, but mostly we lost a hero who loved his country (USA) RIP, Sir. Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission is in charge of arrangements.
