Obituary – Miguel De Anda

January 7

MISSION – Miguel De Anda, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend was called to live in everlasting glory with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 4th, at 10:30 a.m. He will always be remembered for his big beautiful smile, sense of humor, forthcoming attitude, work ethic and profound love for his beautiful wife, Irma, all of his children and grandchildren.
Miguel was a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Madero, Texas, where he helped with Sunday masses and organized numerous Annual BBQ fundraisers. In his latter years, he attended St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mission, Texas where he became part of the Family Choir and was active in ACTS.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Irma Garza De Anda, parents; Manuel and Lupita De Anda, siblings; Gilberto De Anda, Maria Gonzalez, Micaela Ruiz, Maria Luisa Ayala, Margarito De Anda, and Faustino De Anda. He is survived by his sister, Rebecca Espericueta, his nephew, Margarito De Anda Jr., children; Mike (Miriam) De Anda, Diana De Anda, Terry Gomez, Manuel (Edna) De Anda, grandchildren; Alexandria (William) Trejo, Ashley Gomez, Audrey De Anda, Victor De Anda, Mike A. De Anda, Jesse Erebia, Vanessa De Anda and Marco De Anda, and great granddaughter, Aria Rose Trejo.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm-9:00 pm with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Granjeno Cemetery in Granjeno. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.

    Before Daddy went into the nursing home he loved going once a month to get his pedicures at Chloe nails by Sams. As soon as they saw him coming they would say, “pedicure for Papa”. It is just not the same going without him.
