MISSION – John Henry “Tank” Vega, 27, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017. He was a friendly guy, who was always happy, and had a contagious smile. Some of his favorite things to do were cooking and bbq-ing. During his high school years, he enjoyed boxing, where he earned the name “Tank”. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle anytime he could. He was a great father and he loved his boys. He had a huge amount of love for family including his parents, brother and sister.
John was preceded in death by his uncle Joel Guerrero.
He was survived by his parents Francisco and Belma Vega of Mission; his siblings Klarissa Vega of Mission, Andrew Vega of Mission; his children Joel Dominik Vega and Matthew Vega. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Maria Vega; maternal grandparents Juan Guerrero and Maria Ramos, as well as by numerous aunts, uncles and many cousins who loved him very much. Viewing will be held from 1 pm – 9 pm with a 7 pm rosary on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of Mission.
