MADERO – Higinio “Gino” Casares, 72, passed away on September 1, 2017, at his residence in Mission, Texas. He will be remembered as a hardworking and humble man who always had a smile on his face.
He was preceded in death by his parents Octavio and Vicenta Casares; a son Leo Dan Casares; and a brother Tomas Casares.
Gino is survived by his children Guillermo “Willie” Casares of Mission, TX, Oneida (Joe) Valdez of Mission, Yvonne Casares of South Bend, Indiana. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren as well as by his siblings Adela C. (Florencio) Alvarez, Oralia C. (Margarito) De Anda, and Virginia C. Erb.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, from 1-9pm with a 7pm rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10am at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Cremation will follow.
Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home.
