MISSION – Frank Rodriguez, 60, passed away on May 7, 2018, in Houston, Texas. He was a 1976 graduate of Mission High School, and upon graduation he went to work with his father at Rod’s Brick and Tile, a family business he eventually took over. When he was younger, he enjoyed working on cars, and was a lifelong car enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially BBQ-ing and taking trips to the island. His grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. Edward, his youngest son, has fond memories of the times they would spend together at the gym.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ramiro and Elvia Rodriguez, Sr. and a sister Carol Villasenor.
Frank is survived by his loving and devoted wife, of 40 years, Dalia Rodriguez; sons Frank “Kimberly A.” Rodriguez of Mission, Edward Rodriguez of Mission; grandchildren River Rodriguez, Ryann Rodriguez, and Ria Rodriguez. He is also survived by his siblings Adelina “Tita” Arendondo, Mary “Armengol” Cantu, Ramiro “Elda” Rodriguez Jr., Gloria “Gonzalo” Sequiera, Eliseo Andres Rodriguez, Illiana “Paco” Torres, Evita “Frank” Verbuzco.
Visitation will be held on today, Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 4-9pm with a 7pm rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in McAllen. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 2pm, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Cremation will follow.
Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in McAllen.
