Obituary – Federico “Kiko” Suaste

April 20

MCALLEN – Federico, (Kiko) Suaste was born March 2, 1931 in Los Ramones Nuevo Leon, Mexico and passed away April 16, 2018 in McAllen, TX, surrounded by his family and friends.
He met his wife, Natividad, (Naty) in Los Ramones and married her in 1965 in Monterrey, NL, Mexico. They moved to Indio, CA right after and that’s where their daughter, Nora Suaste was born. He eventually settled, with his family in Santa Maria, CA, in 1970 where he worked in the fields as a laborer for Furukawa farms, he then worked for Owen T. Rice and eventually started a career in tile setting with Bert Muscio, Tileco and eventually branched out on his own. In 1999, he and his wife relocated to McAllen, TX where he retired.
Federico knew no stranger, he was friend to all, he touched many lives, young and old. Everyone that he knew him knew his sense of humor, he was always witty, wore a smile everywhere he went and always had a positive attitude, there was no problem that didn’t have a solution. His famous saying was “Life is beautiful, if you know how to live it”, he certainly figured it out because he lived a beautiful life. He was very proud of all his accomplishments but most of all he took pride in his 2 grandchildren, Myriah & Michael Acosta.
He loved to socialize, BBQ, cook Cabrito and spend time with friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand, no matter time of day or nature of favor, he was always up for the task, no questions asked. He was selfless and believed that by doing good, God would bless him, (and he did).
He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Suaste, mother, Eusebia Limon Suaste, brothers Leopoldo Suaste, Jesus Suaste, Santiago Suaste and sister Guadalupe Suaste Pena and his wife of 36 years, Natividad, (Naty) Suaste. He is survived by his daughter, Nora Suaste-Acosta, (Tony), grandchildren Michael Acosta & Myriah Acosta, half-brother Osbaldo Perez (Maria), numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 1pm-9pm with a 7pm rosary on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of McAllen. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in McAllen. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home of McAllen.
