Obituary – Efren Miranda Jr.
March 23, 2018
MISSION – Efren Miranda Jr began his new life in our Lord’s paradise on Sunday March 18. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone he encountered. He was a devout Catholic and active member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Efren was a spiritual man whose love for God was above all else. He was always first to be of service to others. He greatly loved his family and country. He was a true patriot who was proud of being a veteran. If it wasn’t “Made in America” it wasn’t for him. He was even prouder of his father’s military service during WWII. His love for God and family brought him peace during his most difficult moments. Efren was a charismatic man who beamed with pride whenever he talked about childhood memories. He was proud to be a Miranda. Although he was soft spoken he had a humorous personality. Like all “Mirandas”, he never missed the opportunity for a good laugh. Even if it was at his own expense, laughter is the Miranda trademark. He would look down, shake his head, and give a mischievous smile whenever he thought something was funny. He will forever be looking down and giving us that smile from heaven. As we are sure that he proudly walked right in through those pearly gates “stomach in chest out.”
He was preceded in death by his parents Efren & Guadalupe Miranda Sr.; Brother Jesus Miranda; as well as by his 2 nephews Johnny and Davy.
Efren is survived by his wife Irma Miranda of Mission; his children Angelica Miranda, Dr. Efren Miranda III, Erika Miranda-Carter, Claudia Miranda, Crystal Miranda, and Diego Efren Miranda. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren Alberto, Anysia, AJ, Amaris, Aliana, Miranda America, Andrew “Turtle”, Michael, Marlon, Zoie, Daniel, Juan III, Jacob. Brothers and sisters, Yolanda, Gilbert, Maria, Alejandro, Ricardo, Bertha, David, and Stevie. As well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends and extended family.
