MISSION – Delia R. Garcia, 99, born at La Comita Ranch, passed away peacefully at her home on February 17, 2016. She was surrounded by those who loved and cared for her.
Delia is preceded in death by her husband, Isidro Garcia; parents, Alonso and Urbana Ramirez, and brothers, Gilberto Ramirez, Reynaldo Ramirez, and Juan Lino Ramirez.
She is survived by her sister, Clodine Laurel; children, Maria de la Paz (†Mague) Salinas, Norma (Romeo) de la Garza, and Isidro (†Ana) Garcia Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, David (Leticia) Salinas, Ivette Salinas, Javier (Sara) Salinas, Joel (Cassandra) Salinas, Cynthia D. (Mike) Ramos, Romeo (Zita) de la Garza Jr., Aissa (Rick) de la Garza, Eduardo (Karen) Garcia, Delia (David) Acchione, Javier Garcia, and 20 great-grandchildren. Delia’s six grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
The Garcia family would like to send a very heartfelt thanks to Romana Flores for taking such good care of Delia. Also a very special thanks to the staff of Allstate Hospice for the respect and dignity they gave her.
Viewing will begin on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 4 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Mission.
